Disneyland Adventures

This past week Tyler and I joined the Heninger's and Hall's on a much needed family vacation!

DAY ONE was spent at Disneyland for Mom's birthday.
(Last week was a triple birthday week...Kiley on Monday, Mom on Wednesday, and Me on Friday!)
Waiting with the sibs to enter the park
Sisters and Nieces...a girl's best friends

It was Kiley and Brooke's first time, and although Brookie didn't really understand...It was a blast watching Kiley's eyes light up at everything!

Minnie was so cute, she gave us all big hugs and kisses!

The Birthday girls of the week // The Newlyweds

First ride of the day was Kiley's choice...DUMBO!
 Holly was obviously loving' it.

Princess Cinderella // Princess Aurora

Thunder Mountain Railroad // Holly & I trying to pull the sword!

The whole day was so perfect; awesome weather, lines weren't too long, delicious stuffed pretzels & churros, and the company couldn't have been any better...BUT, I'd have to say, watching the Disney magic through a child's eyes was the biggest treat of all.

Kiley was so stoked about everything, seeing the princesses, riding the rides, eating treats, and most of all, being with her family! That little one loves her family more than anything, and it was such a wonderful reminder of how much we need one another. Families truly are one of God's biggest blessings. Needless to say, I am so grateful for mine!

Early Birthday Present

My husband is the best.
He spoils me ROTTEN.
A few days ago he surprised me with my birthday present a few days early…Oakley Radarlock's for our cycling adventures! And I got to test them out today!

I know what you're thinking…
"Man, i really wish i could wear some sweet spandex and killer shades like that every time go on a bike ride!"
Well the good news is, you can.
Just get ready for some goofy looks if you are riding in a pretty non-cyclist area.

That being said, today was also my fist ride here in good ol' Yuma. It definitely is NOT a cycling-friendly area, but it's not terrible. We just woke up at the butt-crack of dawn to beat any traffic.
(aka senior citizen drivers. yikes.)

The ride was good though, and my glasses were AWESOME! So thanks Ty, you da best.

And starting tomorrow…HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK TO ME!!!!!!!
Any one else feelin' 22? or just me and T-sweezy?
:)

**side note: Even though i may look super pro and amazing in the above pictures (hahaha)…i must admit that i totally ate it today at a stop in the park. I have 3 really neat bruise/road-rash combos. One on my butt, and one on both of my arms. Not quite sure how i managed to get BOTH arms in on this wreckage, but i did. Skills. Hats (or helmets?) off to Lexi!!

Road trippin'

This past week was Spring Break for my little sister.
Tyler and I decided that I would come up the valley to spend some time with her, so Wednesday afternoon I hopped in the trusty Tig and set off!

Thursday was spent with Jami, teaching me how to "Coupon".
(Man, it really is a talent. All you couponers out there…hats off to you!)

Friday was Holly day, and we decided to take a mini-roadtrip out east!
We grabbed the camera, climbed in the bug, turned up 107.9, and cruised down the 60.

 Hott sister for sale!

Meow!
I swear she was super glad I was there...
 AMERICA!
Thank goodness for quirky little towns and super cute sisters!

Friday evening Tyler got in…man, I missed that man!
Saturday morning, we rode my biggest ride yet..a whoppin' 46.3 miles!!
Minus the wind, it was an awesome ride!

After our ride, some lunch, and some layin' out, it was Richards Posterity Picture time.
Following pictures, Holly took Tyler and I on a hot date to Texas Roadhouse. For dessert, we hit up Coldstone, then headed home to watch "The Book Thief".
(I highly recommend it)

Sunday was spent at church and with the family.

Overall, it was a great weekend spent with even greater people!
Thanks for all the fun, Family!

Team Jelly Belly

One of the perks of living in Yuma…We're only 2.5 hours from San Diego!
Friday afternoon Ty and I hopped in the car and headed to Cali to attend the temple and go for a ride.

Saturday morning we woke up and headed to the coast for a quick 25 miler. The weather could not have been more beautiful! It was a busy day, so many people out and about.

The hotel we were staying in was also housing the 2014 Jelly Belly cycling team. We spoke to one of the team members the night we got in, and the next morning at breakfast he saw Tyler and started chatting with him again. Tyler mentioned that we wanted to come watch them race, so Kirk invited us to come watch the time trials later that afternoon. We jumped at the opportunity, and after our ride along the coast, we headed up to Murrieta to watch our new friend! It was so fun to see the pros ride, they are FAST! (Averaging 40 mph on the final lap) Team Jelly Belly even won their race! Woo!

It was a lovely, well needed relaxing weekend. Thanks for being the best Ty!

#campwedding2014 - The Big Day!

Tyler and I were surrounded by our family members and a few good friends as we tied the knot.
Bishop Montgomery performed the ceremony. He spoke of families and our divine roles as a mother and father. He reminded us of our temple covenants and encouraged us to make the temple a priority in our lives as we prepare to be sealed. He ended by saying,
"So let yours be a marriage of unwavering faith and a rock solid determination to be the very best you can be..."

 Finally Mr. & Mrs.

After the ceremony, we shared hugs with our loved ones, then snapped a few family pictures before the big celebration began!

Giving my "Man of Honor" Sean Wade a thumbs up for marriage! Thank goodness for FaceTime!

 The Heninger sibs!
Chris, Holly & Jami

Brookie is really sad that I moved to Yuma… Obviously.
We have the best parents ever :)

 Camp Family!
Cody, Matt, Garrett, Mom & Dad
 Tyler's Best Men
Nate, Dane & Jacob
Camp family with great Uncle & Aunt Slade

It was a beautiful ceremony and a great day, but we are both anxious to get to the temple to be sealed for time and all eternity!
Thank you to all our family and friends who attended (whether physically or in spirit), and special thanks to those that traveled, we truly appreciate you being here to make our special day even better. We love you!!
